  1. Prices shown do not include any alteration costs. Alterations are payable to the seamstress by separate invoices. Alterations are not the responsibility of Silk & Maple and we cannot be held responsible for any issues that may come from the use of these independent companies.

  2. Part Payments are non-refundable/non-transferable and full payment must be paid before goods are taken away. In the case of a payment plan, it is your responsibility to pay the agreed monthly instalments. Failure to do so may lead to delay in the delivery of the gown.

  3. We ask that you try to attend collection care appointments within approximately 14 days of notification that the gown/goods have arrived in-store.

  4. In the case of the gown sold as seen or “off the rail” or a “sale gown” sold at a reduced price please be informed that the gown may have imperfections including possible pulls, flaws and marks and will have been reduced in price accordingly. You are welcome to inspect the gown thoroughly. Removal of the gown from the shop will be seen as acceptance of the gown and its condition. Silk & Maple cannot be held responsible for the condition of the gown once it has been removed from the premises.

  5. Silk & Maple requires payment in full for accessory orders, sale items or dresses from the sample collection, including “off the rail” gowns.

  6. Delivery dates given by Silk & Maple are only a guidance and are not binding. Products not from stock may take 8-10 months to arrive.

  7. Manufacturers lead times all vary depending on style/colour/fabric and the country of manufacture.

  8. Colours and finish of fabrics will vary from order to order due to the natural effects of fabrics and dyes.

  9. Detailing and colouring of dresses from which orders are placed are for guidance only. Colours vary with each dye lot. Detailing can vary as beadwork and embroidery is often finished by hand. 

  10. The following could be subject to a surcharge: orders for dresses which are not of a standard length or above size 20 measurements, “rush-cut” orders and dresses that are subject to design amendment. 

  11. Silk & Maple does not accept any liability to you in respect of any loss or damage however caused to your goods before collection. Except we will take responsibility for any loss or damage caused by the negligence of Silk & Maple.

  12. Silk & Maple are excited to provide advice and guidance in the choice of design, size, colour and measurements of dresses and accessories. Ultimately, you will decide how you want your final gown to look. Silk & Maple does not take responsibility  for the choice made. We also cannot take responsibility for any problems which result from any change in the customers instructions or due to the customers increase or decrease in weight or size after the order date.

  13. Before the goods are removed from the premises you must approve their condition and let the staff at Silk & Maple know of any defects or discrepancies. Silk & Maple will not be liable for any defects or discrepancies discovered after you have left the shop.

  14. In the unfortunate event that goods are not required for any reason including wedding cancellation refunds are not provided.

  15. Furthermore customers are contracted (legally) to pay the outstanding amount and take delivery of all the items on order. Silk & Maple will not take garments of items into stock for resale.

  16. Silk & Maple staff will call customers to notify them that their goods have arrived in-store. In the unfortunate event that a customer is found to be in breach of contract by not responding to telephone or written correspondence sent by Silk & Maple and does not subsequently pay outstanding balances and collect products. Silk & Maple’s solicitor will (after a period of one month) be instructed to initiate legal proceedings.

  17. The above conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

  18. Our liability is limited to the value of the goods you are paying for.
